Association cult in alawism/ qizilbash [Alevî/kizilbaslik'ta ocak kültü]
The understanding of the "Holiness of Association", which is considered to be one of the important beliefs of Turkish culture, has been kept alive till today as a historical heritage. "Association" is the representative of presence and life. The concept of "Association" which carries many meanings with it in Turkish history, also finds important theological and sociological responses in Alawi / Qizilbash societies bearing the traces of old Turkish beliefs. Beside the structuring formed by the leaders of their faith are expressed by the concept of "Association"," the leaders of faith" who are accepted as "seyyid-i sadat" sons have to be absolutely bound to an association. The "sanctity" of the associations in the Alawi / Qizilbash societies is in an indisputable position. For this reason, the individuals (candidates) belonging to the Alawi / Qizilbash society are obliged to be bound up with an association (engaged) and to carry out their activities through the "Dede", who are the representatives of association that these individuals depend on. "The associations" are religious structures that have also very functional positions in terms of the design of social life. In our study; we will present the generally accepted information about "the cult of association" in Alawism, the values carried by "the associations'' in Alawi/Quzilbash society and the naming of associations according to their spiritual structuring to the attention of you researchers.
