Küreselleşme sürecinde güreşteki değişimin dinamikleri

Abstract

Küreselleşme süreci ile dünyada ortaya çıkan gelişmeler bütün sektörlerde değişimlere ve farklılaşmalara sebep olmaktadır. Küreselleşme ve kitle iletişim araçları sayesinde oluşan popüler kültür, belli spor dallarını egemen spor etkinliği ve eğlence kültürü olarak evrenselleştirirken, yerel ve geleneksel sporları da aynı oranda zayıflatmış hatta unutulma noktasına taşımıştır. Küreselleşme sürecinin en hızlı yaşandığı günümüzde sporun kazanmış olduğu kitleselleşme, farklılaşma, çeşitlenme, örgütlenme, profesyonelleşme, endüstrileşme, ticarileşme, siyasallaşma, sekülerleşme, bilimselleşme ve cinsiyetsizleşme gibi özelliklerinden kaynaklanan değişimler de tüm spor branşlarını etkilediği gibi güreşi de etkilemiştir. Tarihsel kökleri mitolojideki Herkül’e kadar uzanan, ve antik olimpiyatların da en önemli sporlarından biri olan güreş hem dünya da hem de ülkemizde son yıllarda önemli bir popülarite ve ilgi kaybına uğramıştır. Küreselleşme sürecinde güreşin değişim ve dönüşümlerine dikkat çekmek ve çeşitli çıkarımlarda bulunmak bu çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Küreselleşme sürecinin dünyadaki politik-ekonomik dengeleri değiştirmesi, medyanın toplumun spordaki yönünü belirlemesi, futbolun egemen spor olarak evrenselleştirilmesi ve spordaki küreselleşmenin bir sonucu olarak oluşan Uluslararası Güreş Federasyonu’nun uygulamaları güreş sporunun zayıflamasındaki önemli etkenler olarak gözükmektedir.

With the process of globalization, the developments coming up in the world have resulted in changes and differentiation in all sectors. While popular culture formed through globalization and mass media are universalizing some certain branches of sports as dominant sport activity and recreation culture, it has also weakened the local and traditional sports at the same rate, and even made them about to be forgotten. As the changes stemming from such characteristics as massing, differentiation, diversity, organizing, professionalising, industrialisation, commercialising, politicization, secularization, becoming scientific and asexual which sport has gained today when the process of globalization is so fast have affected all branches of sports, they also have affected wrestling. Wrestling whose historical roots date back to Hercules in mythology and which is one of the most important sports in antique Olympic Games has lost popularity and interest both in the world and in our country in recent years. To draw attention to changing and transformation of wrestling during globalisation and to make deductions make up the aim of this study. Practices of the Federation of National Wrestling, which is set up as a result of the fact that globalization process has changed the economic-political balance in the world, that media determines the direction of the society in sport and that football is universalized as the dominant sport, and globalization in sports, seem to be most important factors in weakening of wrestling sport.
