In this study, the effects of sourcing raw materials used in production processes from abroad on the stock quantities of enterprises are analyzed and solutions are developed for the problems encountered in this process. Within the scope of the study, supply chain, logistics, inventory management and imported material supply issues are discussed in the light of the literature and a theoretical framework is established. It was analyzed how adverse situations that arise at different stages of imported material procurement affect the stock amount, and stock changes before and after the implementation were examined to determine these effects. As a result of the analysis, it is seen that the problems related to the procurement of raw materials from abroad cannot be completely and permanently eliminated, but the benefits and costs of imported material procurement can be balanced through measures and process improvements. The study was concluded by presenting recommendations on measures and process improvements that can be taken.
