    Hakikatin sunumunda metafor kavramı
(Hitit Üniversitesi, 2024) Kesgin, Zakiye; Uyanık, Mevlüt
ABSTRACT In our study, it is stated that narratives provide important data in line with the conditions of people's own period. Therefore, rather than considering these data inconsistent and worthless, these data obtained in presenting the truth are noteworthy, considering that each data has validity in its own period. We attach importance to this method in the presentation of the truth because throughout history, transmission has been mostly through the rhetorical method and this method appeals to almost every individual. Therefore, by first addressing these issues, we create the scope of our research by including the relationship between metaphor and the narratives used by people in the presentation of truth. In the first part of the study, some concepts that may be confused with metaphor are explained in order to associate the concept of metaphor with truth. Concepts related to metaphor are figures of speech such as simile, simile, simile, allegory and allusion. It has also been stated that metaphor can be seen as synonymous with simile. By considering metaphor and metaphor as different concepts, allegory is examined not as a figure of speech but as a narrative technique, and the differences between the concepts of wisdom, truth, metaphysics and theology are discussed. This is extremely important for us to make sense of the different manifestations seen in the presentation of truth. At this point, studies in the context of philosophy for children are included, and attention is drawn to children's ability to gain awareness about themselves and their lives. In the second part, the assumptions put forward in the study are that the concept of metaphor is understandable in the presentation of truth. Humanity's curiosity about supernatural beings provides us with data about their ability to reach the truth. In other words, the message that is intended to be given is that the truth can have different manifestations. In this way, thanks to the interpretations created by each nation, we state that the truth is actually 'one' and that people give different meanings according to their level of knowledge in different times, places and cultural environments, based on the diversity of interpretations about the truth. In the third chapter, Ali Suavi's views on Salâmân and Absâl in modern Ottoman thought were examined in a metaphorical style, through Kelile and Dimne. Additionally, in this section, the characters in Dede Korkut stories are discussed metaphorically. While examining the metaphor presentations in the three different texts discussed on this subject, we know that these texts are actually allegorical texts in general. However, since allegories are a series of metaphors and metaphors are more personal and can offer a person's perspective, it was deemed appropriate to handle the texts we examined metaphorically. This section; It consists of studies on the use of metaphors in works from different times, cultures and traditions. Thus, we saw how well the art of metaphor was used in classical texts, and the importance of using metaphor in presenting the truth to children in today's education system, based on the narratives in classical texts, was emphasized. Thanks to this, philosophy for children was emphasized in order to create a different perspective. This study was created by supporting qualitative research method as a method. In the conclusion section, it is emphasized that classical philosophy texts can contribute to finding solutions to today's problems, especially the possibility of reading them in the context of philosophy for children to grow up with a free mind and a free conscience, and the findings and conclusions we have reached in this context are included. Key Terms: Philosophy, Metaphor, Hay b. Yakzan, Dede Korkut, Kelile and Dimne. Science Code: 61101
