(Hitit Üniversitesi, 2025) Tiryaki, Abdulkerim; Kiraz, Seydi
Fütüvvet-nâmas, which are among the important written sources of Turkish literature, are works that reveal the understanding of fütüvvet and the basic principles of the Ahi institution in 13th and 14th century Anatolia and provide information about the socio-cultural structure and economic life of the period in which they were written. In this respect, fütüvvet-nâmas, which are important sources from which we can obtain direct information about the religious history of Anatolia, are essentially the constitution of Ahiism and the handbook of Ahi. In parallel with the development and changes experienced by the Ahi institution, its contents have changed, and accordingly, various fütüvvet-nâmes have been written by some sectarian circles such as Mevleviism, Bektashism, Kâdirîism, and Rufâism. It is understood that this work, which we have studied, was written in the Sufi / Sufi environment due to the subjects in its content. There is no information about the author of the work and the date of its writing is not known for certain. Based on some of the concepts mentioned in the manuscript, it is thought that it may have been written in the 18th or 19th century. The work, which is an example of a prose fütüvvet-nâme, is registered in Çorum Hasanpaşa Manuscript Library, number 19 Hk 885 with the title Fütüvvet-nâme. The 67-volume work is written in a simple language and fluent style. The work is composed of 'Fasl' headings indicating the change of topics, and some issues related to social life such as the etiquette of eating, drinking and entertaining guests, as well as Sufi etiquette and manners, are explained in the form of questions and answers. The work includes information about the prophets, the four caliphs (çâr-yar), the Companions, the twelve imams (düvaz-deh), the fourteen innocents (çâr-deh), and some religious and historical figures. In addition to these, the concepts belonging to the Sufi literature such as the four gates of Sufism, shad, post, faqr, rijāl al-ghayb, Ka'ba kavseyn are mentioned. Some rituals such as the wearing of the shad, taking the post, granting the ijazet, entering the presence of the master and the procedure of leaving are emphasized.
