dc.description.abstract	Bu çalışmanın amacı, müzikoloji araştırmalarında anahtar bir rol üstlenen scene ve yerel sound kavramlarına odaklanarak her iki yaklaşım üzerinden gerçekleşen müziğin kültürel çalışmalardaki yerini açığa çıkarmaktır. Burada scene olgusu yer ve mekâna bağlı olarak gelişen bir müziksel etkinliği temsil ederken, yerel sound yine bir yerleşim üzerinden gerçekleşen yeni duysal tasarımların ifadesidir. Her iki kavram da belirli bir coğrafyaya, aidiyet üzerinden gerçekleşen kültürel kimlik ve mirasa dayanır. Ayrıca modern-gelenek diyalektiği ile yerel-küresel ilişki scene ve yerel sound için belirleyici bir işleve sahiptir. Kendisini egemen kültürün dışında tanımlayan/gören toplulukların müziksel bir etkinliğin çevresinde kümelenmesi ve bu müziğe manevi bir önem atfetmesi scene ve yerel soundu oluşturan faktörler arasındadır. Sonuç olarak burada ortaya konulan örnek vaka incelemeleri son yıllarda popüler müzik çalışmalarının ayrılmaz bir parçası olan scene ve yerel sound nosyonlarına ilişkin önemli ayrıntılar sunmaktadır.
dc.description.abstract	This study aims to focus on the concepts of the scene and local sound which play a key role in musicology research; and to reveal the place of music, that takes shape by these two approaches, on cultural studies. While the concept of scene represents a musical activity which is progressing accordingly to the location and place, the local sound is an expression of new auditory designs which occur through a location as well. Both concepts are based on a cultural identity and a legacy which are formed by belonging to a geographical location. Furthermore, the relationship between the dialectics of modern-traditional and local-global is a determining factor on the scene and local sound. To heap together around a musical activity and to attach a spiritual importance to this music, of communities, which define/consider themselves to be outside of dominant culture, are among the factors which create the scene and local sound. As a result, examples and case studies, which are represented here, offer important details related to notions of the scene and local sound which are inseparable parts of recent years’ popular music works.
