Cobra Art is the art group created by Asger Jorn, Karel Appel, Guillaume Corneille between 1948-1951. The group has subsequently been involved in artists such as Pierre Alechinsky, Christian Dotremont, Jean-Michel Atlan and William Gear. Cobra Art works, which contain many art movements, have traces of Surrealism, Expressionism and American Abstract Expressionism. In the works where various variations of materials are used; collages and various modifications are possible to see. Artists have avoided all kinds of restrictions and realized their individual tendencies freely. Their works of art involving public and social issues may be called primitive, childlike and experimental at the same time. In this study, it is observed that Cobra artists position the familiar images we encounter in daily life in a new framework with other artistic possibilities.
