Özet
Ekonomimizin gelişmesi küresel boyutta yaşanan büyümeler bilgiye ve bilgi tabanlı varlıklara verilen önemin artması sonucu entelektüel sermaye ve entelektüel sermayenin değerlemesinin önem kazanması, bu konuda yapılan çalışmaların incelenmesi, veri analizleri neticesinde entelektüel sermayenin etkisi araştırılmıştır. Entelektüel sermayenin firmalar üzerinde ki olumlu etkisi geçmiş yıllara oranları ve bu oranların olumlu sonuçları yapılan bu çalışmada araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada entelektüel sermaye unsurlarının şimdiye kadar yapılan çalışmalar göz önünde bulundurularak tanımlanmaya çalışılmış, temel ölçme ve değerleme yöntemleri incelenip entelektüel sermayenin ilk ortaya atıldığı 1960'lı yıllardan bugüne kullanılan ölçümler değerlendirilmiştir. Firmaların değerlerinin entelektüel sermaye ile doğrudan bağlantılı olduğu direkt olarak firma değerine katkı sağladığı araştırılmıştır. Bu çalışmada BİST Kurumsal endeks firmalarının mali performansına etkileri, 2018-2024 verileri ele alınmıştır. 2018-2024 yılları arasında Bist100'de yer alan firmaların bilgiye dayalı ve bilgi tabanlı olanlarda artışların PD/DD Oranları araştırılmıştır. Entelektüel sermayenin firmaların piyasa değeri üzerindeki etkisi, BİST'da işlem gören firmaların piyasa değeri/defter değeri oranları kullanılarak sektörlerin entelektüel sermaye oranları değerlendirilmiştir. Örneklem olarak sanayi sektörü, teknoloji sektörü ve bankacılık sektörleri seçilmiştir. Bu sektörlerin seçilme amacı, bilgi ve bilgiye dayalı firmalar ile sanayi sektöründe bulunan firmaların PD/DD Oranlarının karşılaştırabilmesi değerlendirilebilmesidir. Bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda Türkiye'de işlem gören firmaların entelektüel sermayelerinin şirketlerin piyasa değeri üzerinde etkili olup olmadığı ve etkisinin büyüklüğü ölçüle bilirliği, güçlü yanları entelektüel sermayenin önemi açıklanmaya, elde edilen bilgi veriler sonucunda çalışılmıştır. İşletme literatüründe, bilgi yönetimi ve entelektüel sermaye konuları popüler başlıklar haline gelmiş, 1960 yıllardan bu yana yazılan araştırmalara yazılara ve kaynaklara, araştırmacılara ve yöneticilere rehberlik edebilecek dokümanların sayısı giderek artmaktadır. Entelektüel sermayenin günümüz şartlarında şirketlere etkileri ve bu etkilerin sonuçları firmalara kattığı değerleri araştırılmıştır. Bu çalışmada bu doğrulta hazırlanıp sunulmaktadır.
The development of our economy, along with global growth and the increasing importance given to knowledge and knowledge-based assets, has highlighted the significance of intellectual capital and its valuation. This study examines the impact of intellectual capital through the analysis of data and previous research. The positive effects of intellectual capital on companies, compared to past years, and the favorable outcomes of these effects are explored. The study attempts to define the elements of intellectual capital by considering previous research, examining fundamental measurement and valuation methods, and assessing the measurements used since the concept was first introduced in the 1960s. It investigates how the value of firms is directly related to intellectual capital and how it contributes to firm value. The study focuses on the financial performance of companies in the BIST Corporate Governance Index, using data from 2018 to 2024. It examines the increases in the Market Value/Book Value Ratios of firms in the BIST100 that are knowledge-based and information-intensive during this period. The impact of intellectual capital on the market value of firms, using the market value/book value ratios of firms listed on BIST, is evaluated to assess the intellectual capital ratios of different sectors. The industrial sector, technology sector, and banking sector are selected as samples. The purpose of choosing these sectors is to compare and evaluate the Market Value/Book Value Ratios of firms in knowledge-based and information-intensive sectors with those in the industrial sector. Based on these findings, the study aims to measure the influence of intellectual capital on the market value of companies listed in Turkey and the extent of its impact. It explores the strengths and importance of intellectual capital, utilizing the data obtained. In the business literature, topics such as knowledge management and intellectual capital have become popular, and the number of documents, research, and resources that can guide researchers and managers has been increasing since the 1960s. This study investigates the current impact of intellectual capital on companies, the outcomes of these effects, and the value they add to firms. The study is prepared and presented in this context.
