dc.description.abstractThe traces of the social and cultural transformation brought about by the establishment of the Republic in Turkish storytelling between Dec. 1923 and 1950 are also manifested in the representation of the concept of child. During this period, writers influenced by Western literature tried to portray the figure of a child in a realistic and psychologically profound way, while at the same time maintaining the influences of traditional Turkish literature. The study analyzes the child's position in the face of social changes, his place in the family structure, the impact of education and upbringing methods and the individual and social meaning of childhood in these period stories, analyzing how the child's figure was shaped during this period, what kind of identity he assumed and what values he represents. The study aims to examine the works of important storytellers of the period and reveal how the concept of the child is processed within the framework of themes such as social problems, nationalism, education, family, poverty, war, what symbolic meanings children's characters have and how they contribute to the general current of period literature. This analysis will allow us to better understand the social and cultural structure of the period, the evolution of the concept of children and the property of literature as a social mirror. dc.description.abstract1923-1950 yılları arasındaki Türk hikâyeciliğinde, Cumhuriyet'in kuruluşunun getirdiği toplumsal ve kültürel dönüşümün izleri, çocuk kavramının temsilinde de kendini gösterir. Bu dönemde, Batı edebiyatının etkisinde kalan yazarlar, çocuk figürünü gerçekçi ve psikolojik derinliğe sahip bir şekilde tasvir etmeye çalışırken, aynı zamanda geleneksel Türk edebiyatının etkilerini de sürdürmüşlerdir. Çalışma, bu dönem hikâyelerinde, çocuğun toplumsal değişimler karşısındaki konumunu, aile yapısındaki yerini, eğitim ve yetiştirme yöntemlerinin etkisini ve çocukluğun bireysel ve toplumsal anlamını araştırarak, bu dönemde çocuk figürünün nasıl şekillendiğini, nasıl bir kimliğe büründüğünü ve hangi değerleri temsil ettiğini analiz eder. Çalışmada, dönemin önemli hikâyecilerinin eserleri incelenerek, çocuk kavramının toplumsal sorunlar, millîyetçilik, eğitim, aile, yoksulluk, savaş gibi temaların çerçevesinde nasıl işlendiğini, çocuk karakterlerinin hangi sembolik anlamları taşıdığını ve dönem edebiyatının genel akımına nasıl bir katkı sağladığını ortaya koymayı amaçlar. Bu analiz, dönemin sosyal ve kültürel yapısını, çocuk kavramının geçirdiği değişimi ve edebiyatın toplumsal aynası olma özelliğini daha iyi anlamamızı sağlayacaktır.
