Özet
Kuhn, belirli dönemlerde belirli ilkelerin ekonomik, toplumsal, politik, yönetsel bütün düzeylerde geçerlilik kazandigini ve bir paradigmaya dönüstügünü ileri sürmektedir. Modernlesme sürecinde, bu düzeylerin rasyonellik, mutlaklik, kesinlik ilkelerine göre düzenlenmesini içeren tekçi bir paradigma geçerlilik kazanmistir. Ama globallesme ile birlikte tekçi paradigma, global toplumda ortaya çikan, örnegin çok kültürlülük ve temsil gibi problemlerin çözümünde yetersiz kaldigindan krize sürüklenmektedir. Bunun sonucunda, var olan kosullar tikellik, görecelilik, belirsizlik gibi ilkelere yaslanan, tekçi paradigma karsiti bir paradigma üretmektedir. Bu çalismanin amaci, modern ve postmodern paradigmanin cumhuriyet nosyonuna etkilerini ve sonuçlarini incelemektir. Çalismada yapilan çözümlemelerde, özellikle Althusser 'in Rousseau çözümlemeleri ile Pettit'in "tahakkümsüzlük olarak cumhuriyet projesi" ne odaklanilmaktadir. Çalismamizin tezi, hem modern hem de post-modern paradigmanin, asiri uçlara vardiginda, politik açidan, tahakküm biçimleri ürettigidir.
Kuhn claimed that some principles have become valid in all scientific, economic, political, administrative areas and been transformed into paradigms in certain times. In modernization period, the principles of monistic paradigm have become valid. All above mentioned areas were patterned on principles of rationality, absoluteness, certainty connecting with monistic paradigm. Since modern paradigm is not sufficient to solve the problems such as multi-cultural and representational which occured global age, it led to crises. As a result of this, the existing conditions created a new paradigm which rested upon the principles such as relativity, uncertainty, opposing to monistic paradigm. The aim of this present study is to explain the results and the effects ofmodern and postmodern paradigm on notion of republic. The main concem of this study focus on Althusser 's analysis of Rousseau and Petit:5 'republican conception standing on freedom as nondominated". The thesis of this present study is that both modern and postmodern paradigms may create domination when this paradigms lead to extreme cases.
