| dc.description.abstract | This study examines the life, art, and poetry of the folk poet Haydar Ünlüyol within the framework of functional folklore theory, focusing particularly on the protest function observed İn his works. The research adopts qualitative methods, including biographical and textual analysis techniques. Interviews were conducted with the poet, and contextual insights into his poetry were gathered. A total of 594 poems were analyzed. Among these, 221 were categorized as explicitly carrying a protest function, while the remaining 373 were examined based on emotion and thoughtoriented themes. The poet primarily employed 11- and 8-syllable meter structures. The most frequently used verse forms were koşma and semai, with half rhyme emerging as the predominant rhyme type. Satirical and complaining poems were the most commonly encountered types. Ünlüyol's poetry was evaluated through the lens of William R. Bascom's four functions of folklore and İlhan Başgöz's proposed fifth function: protest. The poems contain criticisms across political, economic, social, and cultural spheres. Influenced by prominent folk poets like Aşık Mahzuni Şerif, Ünlüyol employs a critical tone toward both personal and societal issues. While Ünlüyol's poems are rooted in the traditional structures of Turkish folk poetry, they also reflect the presence of a new generation of folk poets operating within the digital culture environment. His work not only contributes to the sustainability of the folk tradition in form and content, but also sheds light on the contemporary folk literature landscape in Anatolia, particularly in the Çorum region. | dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışma, halk şairi Haydar Ünlüyolun hayatı, sanatı ve şiirlerini işlevsel halkbilimi kuramı bağlamında ele alarak özellikle şiirlerinde görülen protesto işlevini analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada, saha araştırma metotlarının yanında, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biyografik yöntem ve metin çözümleme teknikleri kullanılmış; şairle birebir görüşmeler gerçekleştirilerek şiirlerinin bağlamsal arka planı ortaya konmuştur. Toplamda 594 şiir analiz edilmiştir. Bunlardan 221'i doğrudan protesto işlevi barındıran şiirler olarak sınıflandırılmış, geriye kalan 373 şiir ise duygu ve düşünce ağırlıklı konular temelinde incelenmiştir. Şiirlerde kullanılan hece vezni çoğunlukla 11'li ve 8'li ölçüdür. Nazım biçimi olarak en çok koşma ve semai kullanılmış; kafiye türlerinde ise yarım kafiye öne çıkmıştır. En yoğun biçimde görülen nazım türleri taşlama ve şikayetlenme olmuştur. Şiirler, William R. Bascom'un folklorun dört işlevi kuramı ve İlhan Başgöz'ün önerdiği beşinci işlev olan 'protesto işlevi' çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiş; siyasi, ekonomik, toplumsal ve kültürel bağlamlarda dile getirilen eleştiriler protesto kategorisinde incelenmiştir. Ünlüyol'un Mahzuni Şerif gibi öncül halk ozanlarından etkilenerek hem bireysel hem toplumsal konulara eleştirel bir dille yaklaştığı görülmüştür. Şairin eserleri halk edebiyatı geleneğiyle uyumlu olmakla birlikte, elektronik kültür ortamında varlık gösteren yeni kuşak halk şairi tipolojisine de işaret etmektedir. Ünlüyol'un şiirleri hem içerik hem biçim açısından halk şiirinin sürdürülebilirliğine katkı sağlayan nitelikler taşımakta, bu yönüyle Çorum yöresi başta olmak üzere Anadolu'nun güncel halk edebiyatı ortamına ışık tutmaktadır.
