Özet
Sınıflandırma teoremi geometrik topolojinin temel taşlarından biridir. İlk ispatı 19. yüzyılda yapılmasına rağmen bugün ki araştırmalarda da Sınıflandırma Teoremi sıkça karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Sınıflandırma Teoremi, yüzey ne kadar karmaşık olursa olsun, her tıkız yüzeyin bir sınıfı olduğunu söyler. Bu çalışmanın amacı Sınıflandırma Teoreminin (Zeeman, 1966) tarafından yapılan ispatını vermektir.
The classification theorem is fundamentals of geometric topology. Although it was discoveredin the 19th century, it is frequently used in researches of nowadays. No matter how complicatedthe surface is, the classification theorem says: Surfaces can be classified, and every compactsurface has a class. The purpose of this study is to give the proof of the Classification Theoremwhich is due to (Zeeman, 1966).
