Özet
Hz. Muhammed, sûfîlerin manevi hayatlarında örnek olarak benimsedikleri mükemmel insan mode-lidir. Sûfîler, nübüvvetin son bulduğunu belirtmekle birlikte, Hz. Peygamber’in velâyetinin kâmil müminler tarafından devam ettirildiğini ifade etmektedirler. Hz. Peygamber’in örnekliğinde Allah’ın razı olacağı kâmil insan olma hedefine odaklanan sûfîler söz konusu bu velâyetin mirasını temsil ettiklerini açıklamaktadırlar. Çünkü sûfîler hem amelî hem de ahlâkî yönden en mükemmel mürşid olarak kabul ettikleri Hz. Peygamber’in örnekliğini devam ettirmenin kendi anlayışlarının bir esası olduğunu belirtmektedirler. Sûfîlerin Hz. Peygamber’i model insan olarak görmeleri sadece amelî ve ahlâkî yönlerden değil aynı zamanda onların geliştirdiği bazı metafizik yorumlarda da kendini gös-termektedir. Mesela yaratılışta model tip olarak kabul edilen “nûr-i muhammedî” ve “hakîkat-ı muhammediyye” gibi kavramları bu bağlamda değerlendirmek mümkündür. Ancak bu makalede daha çok Hz. Muhammed’in manevi açıdan model oluşu incelenmektedir.
The Prophet Muhammad has been taken by the S?f?s as the best model for their spiritual life. Though they profess that the prophethood came to an end, they hold that the sainthood of the Prophet Muhammad has been continued by the perfect believers. Engaging themselves in the ideal of becoming a perfect man pleased by God on the model of the Prophet Muhammad, the S?f?s present themselves as heirs to this sainthood. For they take as the basis of their teaching the following and continuation of the Prophet Muhammad’s model whom they view to be the best guide in practical and ethical sense. Yet their view of the Prophet Muhammad as the best human model embodies itself not only in their ethical and practical but also metaphsical teachings. For example, one can mention such S?f? concepts as “the Muhammadan Light (al-N?r al-Mu?ammad?)” and “the Muhammadan Truth (al-?aq?qah al-Mu?ammadiyyah).” This paper, however, will focus on the Prophet Muhammad as a spiritual model for the S?fis.
